Challenge
AySA’s existing system was old and had scalability and performance problems. These characteristics limited the incorporation of new functionalities the business required.

What was our approach?

The system was built in Flash and had to be migrated to .NET adding new functionalities. To this end, instead of starting from the original code, we decided to rewrite it based on the customer’s needs. We took some screens as a starting point, but redesigned them to achieve a more modern look & feel and a far superior performance.

Moreover, in the framework of this work, we moved forward as a model project to implement unit testing and continuous integration with Jenkins.

Benefits
  • Having a faster system
  • Easy scalability
  • They avoided problems linked to planned obsolescence

My role

I was first a developer interested in architectural matters and then I took on the role of technical leader of the team.
